Latendresse assigned to RoadRunners
The Phoenix RoadRunners announced that center Olivier Latendresse has been assigned to the club by the Coyotes from San Antonio of the American Hockey League.
Latendresse, 20, tallied a goal and added three assists in 11 games with the Rampage. The rookie from LaSalle, Quebec, led Val-d'Or and finished fourth in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League scoring race last season with a career-high 41 goals and 125 points in 70 games.
He was the QMJHL Offensive Player of the Month for January after leading the league with eight goals and 27 points in only 12 games. Latendresse signed as un-drafted free agent with the Coyotes on Sep. 15, 2004.
