Johnson commits to Minnesota-Duluth
Derik Johnson has committed to play college hockey at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
Johnson, a P.F. Chang's alum, and son of former Chang's program head Jim Johnson, is currently playing in the BCHL with the Penticton Vees. The defenseman has one goal and eight assists in 32 games, while also racking up 45 PIMs.
Jim Johnson played at Minnesota-Duluth. Mike DeAngelis, the current Chang's U18 coach, also played hockey there.
